I have been looking for solutions myself but to no avail, the following solutions I have tried: This recurs every day and causes me to not be able to perform anything for quite some time. This problem continues for about 10-15 minutes after which at some point the connection becomes stable and is excellent for the rest of the day. The Windows troubleshooter only solves the problem for a minute. It automatically connects right away but after a minute this then drops off, after a while it comes back after which it drops off again a minute later. Every morning when I start my pc the wifi card seems to have a lot of trouble connecting to my router. For the first four days it worked great but then problems started. I have had an Asus pce-ac88 wifi card built into my PC for a few weeks now. Wifi card keeps disconnecting on pc start up They may want you to buy another laptop but if the cards aren't white listed, a simple card swap to one compatible with Windows 10 seems to be the answer. ![]() I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to determine if they white list any cards and see if they have suggestions for a compatible card. Even the manufacturer support inferred I needed a new machine though they sent me a Windows 8.1 driver to try, with the same result. ![]() I must have wasted two months reading and trying everything. I recommend channels 1, 6, or 11 for use for the best results.Ĭonnect from the primary router's LAN port to one of the LAN ports on the secondary router. Note that you should use the same SSID and encryption key for the secondary router but a non-conflicting channel. Setup the wireless section just the way you would if it was the primary router, channels, encryption, etc. ![]() Note: Do this first, as you will have to reboot the computer to connect to the router again for the remaining changes.ĭisable the DHCP server in the secondary router. No changes are made to the primary "router" configuration.Ĭonfigure the IP address of the secondary router(s) to be in the same subnet as the primary router, but out of the range of the DHCP server in the primary router.
